The Ice Rescue Awareness course is based on the NFPA 1006 Standard for Technical Rescuer Professional Qualifications and is designed for rescue service personnel who respond to and support ice rescue operations.
This online program introduces water rescue subjects that include the safety concept, ice types and formation, site assessment and hazard recognition, Personal Protective Equipment, and industry-mandated safety measures. This course is the pre-requisite for our ice rescue operations program.

A certificate is issued on successful completion
The Working around Ice Safety course is designed for personnel who conduct vocational activities on and around ice. This course is recommended for Parks Enforcement Officers, Environment Officers, Hydrometric Scientists and Conservation Authority Staff.
This online program introduces subjects that include ice formation and ice hydrology, site assessment and hazard recognition, Personal Protective Equipment, and industry-mandated safety measures. A certificate is issued on successful completion.
You will have 2 weeks to complete the online program once it is activated and you may access it multiple occasions during that period.
